Dances with Poodles

So- enough about you, let's talk about my favorite subject- poodles.

If I were a Native American, my name would be "Dances with Poodles". But I am, alas and alack, not Native American. I am a Jewish American Princess. But I still dance with poodles every chance I get which is most of the time. They smell way better than wolves.

I have 2 black standard poodles and a nonstandard ( read mixed breed). I refer to them as "The Puds"-short for Pudlin, the German word for: enjoys playing with the garden hose - tossing themselves into the spray, laughing as only a poodle can laugh, REALLY transliterated,like so over the top as to be not EVEN close.... but I digress.

"Lacy" is a black standard who is brilliant and funny and has Addison's disease.

"Colin" is sweet and beautiful and hopes to utilize his "man-berries" in the not too distant future.

And then there is "Chuck" named so because she was chucked out of a car when she was about 10 months old and preggers with 13 puppies, who regrettedly were not meant to be.


and then there is me, the Pinky in Pinky's Poodle Palace. As IF I matter. I am here to groom, to provide and to entertain.

The puds are the interesting part of the equation. Lacy learns new tricks. Colin writes Haiku. Chuck protects us all. It works for us.

So I proffer poodle pontifications, and pander to your sense of what is perfect.

Poodle in and of itself is an interesting word. I have seen it used as a verb aka to "poodle" around on a bicycle, obviously as a noun, to describe the best canine with four on the floor, as an adjective as in "poodle skirt" - see you know EXACTLly what skirt I mean. As an adverb... I will work on that one. As far as adjectives are concerned, just how many times have you said "well isn't that just poodlicious!" I know, too many to count.
